Green pea Curry

Makes: 4 servings
500g shelled green peas
4tbsp oil
2tbsp besan
1-inch piece ginger, finely chopped
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp sugar
1 medium potato, and cut into thin wedges
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp amchoor (dried mango powder)
- Coarsely grind two thirds of the peas and set aside.
- Heat oil on medium high. Saute ground peas, besan and ginger on medium heat for 15 minutes. Add salt, sugar, remaining peas, potatoes and 1 ½ cups water. Cook covered till potatoes are done. Sprinkle garam masala and amchoor just before servings.
